Stay at Woodfrys

Whether you like to stay in a bivvy, a full-blown tent, campervan, trailer tent or roof top tent, we are here to help with generous well spaced out pitches with lovely views and wildlife to enjoy

The Ridge

Great for campervans

There are two pitches on the Ridge which have a birds eye view of the water meadow and lake, often with fantastic aerial displays from the local bird life.

You'll catch the last rays of the day up on the Ridge.  Each pitch has it's own water supply, picnic table and fire pit and is closer to the shop & shower facilities.

The Water Meadow

Tents only

Enclosed in the valley bottom, the Water Meadow is surrounded by mature trees with a one acre lake close to a crystal clear chalk stream. Down here you are surrounded by trees. Many get to see barn owls, hear the tawny owl or spot a kingfisher. You are never far from a compost toilet and there's a washing up station with hot water and a view. Each pitch has a fire pit and a picnic table.

On arrival and departure day, you will be able drive down to the meadow to drop off you kit. Some pitches are close to the drop off track, or you can grab a wheelbarrow if you fancy a more remote spot.

Each pitch comes with a picnic bench & fire pit, compost bin, with toiletries supplied
